Mini-shoots are a great way to get some family photos for a really reasonable price. It's a short burst of shoot - 20 minutes and I do around 10 in 1 day at a set location. With the shoot only lasting for 20 minutes, kids don't get bored and by doing it in an exciting outdoor location there is lots to keep them entertained and occupied and we get some really beautiful, natural photos of all the family - kids especially :-)
For my summer mini-shoots I choose Worcester Woods as the location for the family photo shoots - it's a great place with beautiful woodland, a playground for the children, the orchard cafe which serves amazing food and meant that families could combine the photo shoot with a day out.
Worcester woods is great for family photography - the tall trees produce beautifully dappled light and perfect framing, there are lots of tree stumps, wooden dens, branches, twigs, bridges - loads for the wild imaginations of children.
