Organic Beauty products to prepare you for your Wedding

In the run up to your wedding day your mind, body and soul can take a beating. So much to organise, so many people to please, so many vendors to communicate with and details to remember. I'm a huge believer that how we feel on the outside has a huge amount to do with what we put inside and on our skin, so I thought I'd share some of my experience with you to see if it can help your skin look as radiant as possible on your big day. I'll share my love of good food and how amazing that can make you feel another time. But for now, onto the beauty products.

Beauty products contain a huge amount of chemicals , which combined with stress, bad diet and not drinking enough water can lead to inevitable dry, flaky, red skin - not great for photos right? I have suffered with eczema and dry skin since I was a child, hence my interest in using products as natural as possible that irritate my skin as little as possible. Here are some of my favourites:

1) Rose Water

Rose water is one of the oldest natural ways to keep the skin hydrated and refreshed - my best friend's mum was the first person to give me some when I was 16 and I've sworn by it ever since. Neal's Yard do a great version that is called Rehydrating Rose Toner now: http://www.nealsyardremedies.com/skincare/organic-facial-skincare/facial-toners/0314.html http://www.greenpeople.co.uk/fruit-scrub-exfoliator-50ml

2) Coconut oil

A lot of people at the moment are extolling the virtues of coconut oil in cooking for its amazing health boosting properties, but it also amazing at rehydrating and moisturising skin. Honestly - use this every day for a couple of weeks before your wedding and by the big day your skin will feel softer and smoother than every before. I can't get enough of this stuff. Be warned though, if you are prone to acne this stuff can clog pores, so it might be worth avoiding if you've never used it before.

3) Burts bees Lip Balm

Dry cracked lips are the enemy of brides the world over, but kinda inevitable considering how nervous many of your get before you walk down the aisle. The 2 best things to tackle this are to drink loads of water and nurture your lips with this stuff for a couple of weeks before your wedding. It's the best I've found for stopping my lips getting chapped

4) Argan Oil

Ok ok, I know that everyone is going on about this stuff at the moment. But that's because it works. You can use this on hair but it also great for dry skin and a good alternative to coconut oil if you are prone to acne, This stuff is full of vitamins and anti-oxidants and essential fatty acids and your skin will LOVE you for using this. Arganic are great as the sole focus of their business is argan oil and they can trace every single bottle back to its source, so you know that there is no exploitation going on when you buy their products http://www.myarganic.co.uk/

5) Exfoliator

Exfoliating is the key to having really bright skin and will help all those other products like moisturiser, make up, fake tan etc go on so much better. Now if you are feeling that way inclined you can make your own. Deliciously Ella has a great recipe here: http://deliciouslyella.com/natural-beauty-oatmeal-honey-and-banana-scrub-mask/ but I have to admit that I am far too lazy to do this, so I buy this great scrub from Green People: http://www.greenpeople.co.uk/fruit-scrub-exfoliator-50ml

Hope you find this useful and if you manage to give some of them a try let me know if the comments how you get on xx
